Wilson Camp

Wilson Camp - My four day journey started at the Hunting Hollow trailhead of Henry Coe State Park. Up the Lyman-Wilson Ridge trail to Wilson Camp, then across the ridges of Wagon Road to the Crest Trail (Willow Road) and down to Coit Lake, a 10 mile tramp.

Lots of wind my day out, and at nightfall I had bliss from snowfall - did someone exchange Spring for Old Man Winter? But the following days the wind abated, the sun shined, and the wildflowers displayed their Springtime radiance.

This Wilson Camp structure was once used by ranchers before the land was deeded to the park, it is now a place to gawk high on the ridge. It's a California fixer-upper, don't ask the price, you probably can't afford it!
